The house was about 1100 square feet in the beginning. 1 bed, 1 bath and a den. The house needed to be big enough for a family of four and in a few years our parents.

Now it's framed, sheathed and has a little siding up, but I have a lot of decisions to make.

The goal is simply a modern and green family home.

 Have any ideas?

Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Mo - Siding Dilemma

As it turns out, winter only last a few months. So soon me excuse will be leaving me. The tar paper was hung on the sheathing with care in hopes that Marja would make up her mind an side the side the place already.
My plan for most of the new addition is a rainscreen: Tyvek Drainwrap, 3/4" furring strips 16" on center, 4' x 8' Hardipanels with exposed stainless steel fasteners. Still going back and forth on using Vaproshield UV tape behind the exposures or using thin strips of galvanized metal over the furring strips along the entire reveal.

I am now taking suggestions, comments and even criticism.
